We got it! a while ago we decided at Libros.com to try a new way of book edition in Spain. We found an author and made him the proposal. The idea it was to edit a book if we get the support of the future readers. So we would publish his book only if we get the minimum support for his book, that in this case it was 3.000 EUR.
For this first time, we count on Lorenzo Silva, a very well known author in Spain who has published many books and gotten the prestigous Nadal Prize in 2000.
The proposal for the future readers was to support the edition by paying different amounts to pre-book the ebook, the paper book, the paper book with the author’s autograph… And all the possibilities include the name of the person who has support the edition in the thankful page. You can have a look of it (in Spanish) at the Crowdfunding page at Libros.com
The limit to get the needed funding was 30 days, and last night, after 28 days from the day we launched this initiative, we got it! This book will be now a reality and published thanks to (by now) 406 supporters.
To all of them, a big thanks. And thanks and congratulations to Lorenzo Silva to believe in another way to edit books, and to the whole team of iClicko and Libros.com to make this possible.
